What would it take to convert my 94 ford escort into a E85, LP, electric, or other alternate fuel vehicle?
Filed Under Alternative Fuel Vehicles | 5 Comments
I have seen that you can convert your car into a propane/gas hybrid for relatively cheap, something around 150 bucks. Is this estimate true? I am just doing research on the internet into what it takes to convert a car and was hoping to get other peoples opinions and experiences. any help is appreciated. Thanks

Why does the Government need to promote alternate fuel sources?
Filed Under Alternative Fuel Vehicles | 3 Comments
It would be very profitable for anyone to develop an alternate energy source. I’m sure there are many people working on it now. The government can’t really make alternate energy any more sought-after.

What do you know about ELECTRICITY as an alternate FUEL source?
Filed Under Alternative Fuel Vehicles | 6 Comments
Doing a chemistry project on electricity as a fuel source. Having trouble finding criteria needed.
1. How does this fuel source work to produce energy? What types of reactions occur and how?
2. How will the use of this fuel affect the environment?
3. What are the advantages of using this fuel instead of a petroleum gas?
4. What are the disadvantage of using this fuel?
5. What is the current status of this fuel? Is it currently being used? How is it being used? Is it being developed? Is it practical?

Haven’t read anything in depth on current alternate-fuel developments, and I’m just wondering which fuel options have the most potential to be widely used in cars say 5 years from now.

How much actual gasoline does it take to produce 1 gallon of e85 ethanol?
Filed Under Alternative Fuel Vehicles | 3 Comments
A friend told me it takes just as much gasoline for ethanol than regular gasoline.
