Right now, gasoline prices are on the rise througout the United States with not end in sight of prices going down. In some parts of the country, gasolline is over $4.00 and where I reside, the average gas price is $3.25 in Georgia.
What is advice you would give to other motorist on ways they can save money at the gasoline pump in the upcoming months?

What is the price of regular unleaded gasoline where you live?

I live in Marin County, California and the price of gasoline is $2.359 per gallon for regular unleaded.
It’s very ironic that less than 5 miles from the gas station is the refinery in which it was made.

Can you convert a gasoline engine to run off of pure ethanol? If so what is the cost? Is this comparable to running a diesel engine on used vegetable oil?

My family and I are taking a short family trip to Guadalajara, Mexico- and we were told we have to bring extra gas, because filling stations aren’t always close enough to make it between on a single tank. What is the safest way to store about 10 gallons of gasoline inside the car?

I would really like to know which gasoline station you visit (mobile, chevron, etc.) and the type of gasoline you choose to purchase (unleaded, premium, etc.) because i would like to make a good choice both for my wallet and my car! Thanks to all who would reply.

What is the most fuel efficient car available?

I am not interested in the Toyota Prius, Honda Insight, Hybrid Civic, or any other Honda or Toyota hybrid.
What I’m really looking for is the most fuel efficient non hybrid car in the world. Cars like the Aygo, Panda, and Smart.
Although, if someone has turned one of these already fuel efficient small cars (like the Aygo) into a hybrid, I would love to hear about it.

I’m using a Mitsubishi Lancer GLS and sometimes I don’t have the time to pass by a gas station before my gauge hits the last line. I’ve always wondered how far can I still go on a blinking fuel gauge.
Sky Pilot, I spend 12 hrs infront of the computer daily due to my kind of work so I have more time to ask this question than go to the gas station. Thanks for the info.
